Facilities Supervisor – Bootle L30

AM Services Group are looking for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our team based on one of client's prestigious sites based in Liverpool and to carry out a wide range of tasks to support and ensure the smooth running of Facilities on site.

The Role

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Carry out weekly checks on Fire Systems
  • Carry out weekly tests on Fire sprinklers
  • Carry out monthly checks on Water systems
  • Cary out monthly checks on emergency lighting
  • Manage all FM contractors onsite
  • Control the FM Contractor schedule
  • Assist with any other Facilities tasks
  • Planned Maintenance activities including minor tasks
  • First stage fault finding
  • Operations support
  • Develop and Document standard operating procedures for facilities and maintenance related tasks including monthly report and document maintenance.
  • Minor installations of items not requiring specific Skills (eg minor plumbing, decorating, flat pack furniture, Picture frames, Shelving etc)

The Successful Candidate

Essential Competencies

  • Demonstrable background in Facilities Maintenance/ Support
  • Autonomous
  • IT Skills (Microsoft Office etc)
  • Flexibility (some out of hours work is essential to the role)

Desirable Competencies

  • Advanced IT Skills
  • Advanced problem solving (Electrical and Mechanical)

Essential Education and Training

  • Previous work within a similar role
  • Minimum Level 3 standard of education (A Level, ONC, C+G)

Desirable Education and Training

  • FM Control Systems
  • Electro-mechanical services maintenance, including use of hand tools and test equipment

Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • Excellent Health and Safety knowledge
  • Experience of basic FM regulatory testing
  • Experience of utilities monitoring

Desirable Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of Trend BMS
  • Previous food or chemical plant experience
  • DSEAR and ATEX Awareness

Skills

  • Use of CMMS or similar systems
  • Excellent record keeping
