Our University of Leeds cleaning team helps make a Baronial style hall into a home for new students

Congratulations to our team at the University of Leeds for their great work in getting Devonshire Hall accommodation in ship shape over the summer months.

With tight deadlines in place, as the academic year ended and the facilities needed to be ready for the next intake of students, the team was challenged with extra cleaning tasks throughout the break. Imagine cleaning over 100 kitchens and 600 rooms, as well as carrying out additional deep cleans, in just a few weeks! By pulling together, working hard and supporting each other, our team came up trumps. They also delivered outstanding results which were reflected in fantastic site audits.

Well done to team supervisor James Lacey and all the team – Afrakoma Bawuah, Eliza Przemielewska, Jackline Adusei, Lidia Melenou, and Mary Kwaa. You have taken such pride in your work and made sure that Devonshire Hall is a clean and comfortable home for so many young people.

Devonshire Hall is a Grade II listed building with beautiful grounds made up of Victorian mansion houses and other new purpose-built accommodations.
