Garry Price provides a positive example to local young people at the Arndale Morecambe Bay

Colleague of the Month Winner – Garry Price

Garry is a worthy winner of Colleague of the Month for the compassion and generosity of spirit he has shown in his role as Security Supervisor at the Arndale shopping centre in Morecambe Bay.

Recently, Garry responded to an incident where a young schoolboy was caught shoplifting food. When he apprehended the boy, he took the time to talk to him and the boy revealed that he was hungry with no money to eat. Garry bought him something from the nearby bakery while discussing the pitfalls of turning to crime.

Passionate about doing a great job to protect the shopping centre and the local community, Garry has not only built good relationships with the centre management and tenants but also with the customers and the young people who visit the Arndale.

One of the tenants also thanked Garry for support in loss prevention:“Your team’s hard work and effort have reduced the amount of theft within our store massively. I wanted to give a special mention to Gaz who, in my opinion, is amazing. This month alone I believe it’s almost £1000 he recovered.”
