Welcome our newest team members at Stanley Square shopping centre in Sale 

We had a fantastic day when we recently successfully mobilised our latest cleaning and security contract in Sale at Stanley Square shopping centre. It was great to meet our new colleagues there and we would like to warmly welcome them into the AM Services Group team.

Stanley Square shopping precinct, Sale, is undergoing an ambitious regeneration programme over the next few years under the ownership of Altered Space.

Tony Martin, General Manager of Stanley Square, said: “It’s an exciting time as we are coming close to the end of our first phase of redevelopment, we are welcoming lots of new exciting businesses to the centre, and there is a buzz around the whole community of Sale. Now was the perfect time to refresh our soft services and we are all delighted to be working with AM Services Group who will offer both the team and the centre the support required.”

Stanley Square was recently renamed, supported by local historians, bringing history back to the community, who uncovered that the area on which the centre was built was originally farmland owned by the hard-working Heywood family, up to Victorian times. They had a young son called Stanley who tragically died at a young age. In remembrance his family called one street Stanley Grove, which is now the Mall and the way in and out of the centre.
 
The centre is also influenced by the ‘situated design’ philosophy, which takes the designer out of the studio embedding them in the local community to understand the needs of local residents.
