Support our CEO as he cycles The Way of The Roses for Chasing the Stigma charity with NewRiver Hawthorn
Our CEO Adrian and his brother Michael are taking to the saddle for a couple of days of a three-day cycle challenge; they are joining a group who are cycling from Morecambe, near our headquarters, to Bridlington in support of our client NewRiver’s charity fundraising event which is taking place from this Thursday the 2nd to Saturday the 4th September.
FTSE 250 property firm NewRiver’s pub company, Hawthorn, is behind more than 700 inns. A small group from Hawthorn, along with friends, are once again taking on the 170-mile cycle ride challenge, The Way of the Roses. The event will raise as much money as possible for the chosen charity Chasing the Stigma. Chasing the Stigma is a national mental health charity that is dedicated to normalising mental health, as everybody has mental health issues at some stage in their lives, and the charity aims to make it easy for everyone to find help whenever they need it through their Hub of Hope support app. They also want to create an environment of understanding through training and to campaign for changes in attitudes to mental health.

The route will see the cyclists scale a total of almost 3k metres over three days.
Adrian says: “We’ve had great fun supporting this event in the past, and we’re delighted to be part of it again this year. This is a fantastic initiative from our friends at NewRiver to support vital charitable work from Chasing the Stigma. There aren’t any of us who haven’t struggled at some point in their life, and especially through the difficult times of the pandemic. At AM Services Group, we believe in giving positive support with people’s mental health and so joining in this event ticks all the right boxes for us.”
Good luck to Adrian and Michael and please donate whatever you can, big or small, for this fantastic effort and deserving charity. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hawthornpubs
