Find out more about the people in our Operational Control Centre

Over the last year, we have continued to invest in our Operational Control Centre (OCC). Our people are of top importance to our business, and so we wanted to give additional support, in this way, to our frontline staff to ensure that their questions or issues can be dealt with efficiently and effectively and as soon as possible around the clock. We have also added new technology to the OCC.

From operations to welfare matters, our OCC team are keen to help keep service running as smoothly as possible for our clients and to support our staff, if they should need help, at any time of the night or day. Through a great knowledge of our teams and our business processes, and through excellent communication skills, our OCC team is on hand to help.

Let us introduce you to a couple of our OCC team members to find out a little more about what they do…

Chris Pearse is our Operations Controller

What is your role in the OCC and what do you most like about it?
I support our team at night by monitoring lone worker alarms. I enjoy helping people and also supporting with any technical issues that may arise using the employee app.

Is there anything challenging about your role and how do you overcome it?
Working through a pandemic, with lots of new processes needing to be introduced, has meant a lot of changes for the OCC; keeping up with these can be a challenge. I keep reading and training to learn as much as I can.

When did you begin working with AM Services Group and what do you most enjoy about the company?
I started working with AM August 2015. I like the fact that, although it’s a big company, there is still a ‘family-run’ business atmosphere.

What most makes you ‘want’ to go to work?
I like to feel I am doing something worthwhile and to make a difference.

Have you learned a new skill, or anything about yourself during lockdown?
I’ve learned to be more patient and tolerant and to listen better to others… all our relationships in our lives are important and just saying “hello” or “how are you?” can make a big difference to someone’s well-being.

Paulina Debicka is our Operations Control Centre Lead

What is your role in the OCC and what do you most like about it?
It’s my role to lead the OCC, making sure all the processes and tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Is there anything challenging about your role and how do you overcome it?
Multi-tasking is the most challenging. I try to prioritise and see what needs to be done first.

When did you begin working with AM Services Group and what do you most enjoy about the company?
I started working here in 2017 and what I most enjoy is that there is no day the same… every day brings new tasks and challenges.

What most makes you ‘want’ to go to work?
Helping people by improving our systems and processes.

Have you learned a new skill, or anything about yourself during lockdown?
I learned how many beautiful walks we have just around the corner.
