AM Services Group set to expand with Jayne Matthews as new operations manager
AM Services Group has appointed Jayne Matthews to the role of Operations Manager, reporting to Operations Director Neil Cooper. The pair worked together, over a number of years, at Mitie (Gather & Gather), where Jayne’s most recent position was as Head of Operations for the North.
Jayne said: “After 20 years of working in hospitality for large corporates, it’s time for the new challenge at AM Services Group, a rapidly growing company which already has a very personal and people-focused approach. I am looking forward to helping to grow the business in other areas of facilities management and to supporting learning and development opportunities and strong career paths. I am keen to support data driven strategy, to work with local charities, and to encourage apprenticeships for less privileged people.”
Neil added: “We are looking forward to Jayne contributing to our continued drive towards sustainable business goals. Her experience includes supporting the Mitie Foundation social enterprise, taking 15 people from hard to reach backgrounds on work placements across her restaurants. She ensures that her teams are able to give full support to client charities, develops initiatives with customers to reduce environmental impact and focuses on a sustainable supply chain to deliver added value. She also recruits and develops strong teams by training and empowering them, and building trust through a very personal and inspirational approach.”
In her last role at Gather & Gather, Jayne was responsible for the relationship management of key clients covering both corporate offices and high street operations for some of the north of England’s most iconic brands. She managed the world’s first Central Perk Café in Primark in Manchester, under licence from Warner Bros. The novel hospitality venue, inspired by the Friends TV series and a typical New York lunch menu, opened with sales 52% above planned budget. Jayne continued to combine innovation with strong financial performance at the new Bupa headquarters in Salford Quays, by introducing Almost Famous burgers and marketing this through a launch event with the legendary Almost Famous Wonder Truck restaurant on wheels.
