Our STARS go above and beyond to help a student in need

The University of Hull – security team – BEAMMing Star Awards

Our team at the University of Hull have all BEAMM-ed while working even harder than usual to keep the university premises, staff and remaining students safe and free from harm during the Covid-19 lockdown

However three of our staff are particularly deserving of our Star award this month, having shown incredible professionalism, team work and exceptional skills. Recently they rose to the occasion yet again with an incredible response to a potentially life threatening situation, when Jamie Tomkinson and Josh Clarkson searched the huge site for a serious incident that required first aid response. With their experience and knowledge of the university, they were able to find the female student in rapid time and immediately delivered the required treatment. Their actions were firmly underpinned by the third member of our team Billy Tomkinson who helped to manage the situation and to communicate timely information to all the necessary parties.

In the three years that this team has worked together their manager says that they have “truly evolved over that period of time. I believe that the UOH contract demonstrates AMSG’s Visions & Values on a daily basis. I am very proud to support them in my role”.
