Our security team tells us how new supervisor Chris is rising to the challenge and doing a ‘fantastic job’

We were delighted to make this award to Chris Sims, our supervisor at Lakeside Village, after he was nominated by one of his team, David Laud. David told us: “I think my security manager Chris Sims needs to be nominated as this is his first manager’s role and he’s doing a fantastic job. I have been in the security industry for a lot of years and, as a manager, Chris it right up there at the top. During Covid-19 he really has been on top of things, making sure we have everything we need to get things done.

He has made a solid team out of us and also has a massive heart, making sure we’re all doing ok through this lockdown. He is someone who we can sit down with and have a proper chat if we have any problems at work or at home. He also takes time to explain things so we all, as a team, can understand.”

When AM Services Group took over this contract at the start of the year, Chris’s potential was clear and he was soon promoted to security supervisor. In a short space, he ‘has formed bonds that normally take months/years to create’.
