Looking after the wellbeing of staff inside the workplace should take into account the indoor air quality. Good air quality is important not only for an employee’s comfort but also for their health.

Many things can contribute to poor indoor air quality, such as inadequate ventilation, problems controlling temperature, humidity levels etc. One particular area in the workplace is clearly at risk of having bad air quality and that’s the washroom. Washrooms have locally generated pollutants and are often badly designed with poor maintenance and little thought given to the air quality risks.

Our new AirSteril washroom unit utilises five technologies to eliminate washroom odours and control harmful bacteria and viruses in the air and on all exposed surfaces round the clock. Dual UV light kills bacteria, viruses and mould by disrupting their DNA and removing their reproductive capability.

Photocatalytic Oxidation breaks down volatile organic compounds. Negatively charged superoxide ions charge airborne contaminates causing them to cluster together and fall  from the air. Targeted ozone gets to the hardest to reach areas breaking down contamination in the air and on exposed surfaces.

These low energy units provide constant, clean, fresh sanitised washroom air but have no filters to change and require minimal maintenance. They are a green solution that lifts washroom hygiene and provides a pleasant environment for all users.
