Our STAR award winner with a very positive ‘can do’ attitude

Katarina Langan – The Foundry, Scunthorpe

Kath has worked at The Foundry for 18 years and comes highly commended by the shopping centre manager Stephen Dacombe. He says: “Kath ensures that the goals of the team and goals of the centre are not only met but regularly exceeded. She brings a very positive ‘can do’ attitude and energetic approach to her work and it infectiously rubs off on others around her, enabling the team to grow a sense of ownership of the tasks they complete and in the centre itself. With centre visitors, whether it’s a quick conversation, a helping hand, or dealing with a first aid incident, Kath is always cheery and upbeat.

Her diligence and attention to detail has often resulted in the highlighting of other items requiring action and the completion of tasks not necessarily on the regular ‘to do’ list’.
