Loo of the Year – AM Clients top the honours
LOO-k at us!
In December the washroom industry doesn’t just eagerly anticipate Christmas: just as important in our end of year calendar is the announcement of the prestigious Loo of the Year Awards. This year we’re ‘sitting pretty’ having achieved overall Platinum certification for our high-standard loos at nine client sites.
Because of the exceptionally high standards, an extra Diamond Award was introduced this year. Some 1600 locations were visited and graded by the judges and only 50 received the top honour of the Diamond Award. We are delighted that one of these is serviced by our hard-working cleaning team at The Lanes Shopping Centre in Carlisle, Cumbria.
For more than 30 years, the Loo of the year Awards, run by the British Toilet Association, has encouraged the highest possible standards in ‘away from home’ washrooms. Any type of non-residential washroom can be nominated for the hotly-contested awards covering 15 market sectors across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. All entries receive a Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum grading after an unannounced visit from a fully trained Loo of the Year Awards inspector.

We are pleased to announce that our clients at the Promenades, Hill Street, the Cornmill, The Foundry, and the Prospects Shopping Centres, as well as our other clients Zen Internet, David Brown Santasalo, Lucite and Johnson Matthey all achieved Platinum certification.
At the Loo of the Year Awards presentation event on 6 December, AM Services Group was proud to be represented among the crème de la crème of washrooms on the ‘Champions League’ Standards of Excellence list and to be named the English National Category Awards winner for All Workplace Washrooms.
