Meet the Team, our Payroll Experts at Head Office

We ‘roll out’ the people behind the payroll …

Ensuring that the people on the front-line of our business are paid correctly and on time is a top priority for our business. As our company has expanded, we’ve been putting a new payroll system in place to do just that. Thanks to our operations teams who have supplied the staff data from our growing number of sites, and thanks to Paulina Debicka, Vanessa Kane and Lorraine Wooff, from our administrative support team at HQ, for their hard work in continuing to make sure the system runs efficiently and effectively. Here, you can find out more about the people who’ve helped to save time and improve processes …

Lorraine:
What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

My family is very important to me; I have four children and three grandchildren, aged 12, four and two, and spending quality time with them all is a real bonus. I also enjoy walking, going to music festivals and watching football.

What’s your proudest moment?
Seeing all my children graduate made me so proud.

What do you think is the best thing about/best feature of the new payroll system?
Having worked in payroll for over 30 years, being able to import all employee hours worked and absence via a cloud based portal to the Sage payroll system is fantastic: this is both cost and time effective.

Vanessa:
What’s the main thing that keeps you motivated?

I’m motivated by inner happiness and well-being: when all is good with my family, partner and close friends, and my stress levels are low.

What’s your favourite season?
Definitely Spring.

What do you think is the best thing about/best feature of the new payroll system?
It’s very user friendly with the ability to import payroll information from Timegate, which will improve each month with more staff inputting time and attendance.

Paulina:
What piece of advice would you give your future self?

Strive for excellence, not perfection. It helps to be more creative, open minded and see the bigger picture in every situation.

What makes you happy?
Outside of work, I love cats, listening to music, reading and watching thrillers and horrors, cycling, travelling, and meeting with my friends and family. I try to enjoy every sunny day and make the most out of it.

What do you think is the best thing about/best feature of the new payroll system?
I think the best thing is the automation of processing and giving more control to employees. It can only make everyone’s life easier, add efficiency and lead to better work–life balance.
