A calm and measured Diane deals with an aggressive situation with skill and bravery

Our second winner was chosen because of the way she dealt with a situation which could have ended in injury, or worse. An aggressive, possibly drunk, male chased an employee into the building during the day and proceeded to shout abuse, cause damage to the building and threaten the office worker present. Diane, our front of house employee, managed to appease the whole situation while she herself was under verbal attack and being confronted in an aggressive manner.

After a long, drawn-out stand-off, the culprit left the premises and was later picked up by the police. He was found to be carrying a weapon that could easily have been used if not for Diane’s measured and highly commendable actions.
