Dan Bennett answers a few questions as we get to know all about him

This month we meet Dan Bennett in our regular “Meet the Team” briefing. Dan is already making his presence felt on the operations theatre of the business, an impressive start to his career with AM services group has seen him promoted from a Key Account Manager to a Regions Operations Manager already – superb recognition for his no-nonsense approach and organisational abilities!

Here’s what Dan had to say:

How have your first few months been at AM Services Group?
The first few months have been very interesting and fast-paced. I have met some interesting and dedicated members of the field operations team, who are passionate about what they do for both the business and our clients.

What does a typical day look like for you at AM Services Group?
There isn’t a typical day… Whilst my new role sits with the Senior Operational Leadership Team, there isn’t so much of a typical day that I can specify. Every day is very different, whether that be planning operations across the region, meeting our clients, carrying out site visits/audits, meeting with the SOLT and SMT, or dealing with day-to-day operations. So a typical day is always varied, which is a welcome challenge. You certainly can’t predict it in operations.

What has your role been prior to joining AM Services Group?
I have spent the last 10 years in the Private Security Industry since leaving HM Forces as a soldier in the British Army. My first year in the manned security and FM service industry was very much at entry level as a Relief Security Officer and Site Security Officer. Remainder of my time in the industry has been spent from site-based management in a loss prevention environment through the ranks to Account Management and Operational Management. This has enabled me to work across a variety of sectors, including Aviation Security, Chemical & Industrial Security, Corporate Security, Education and Shopping Centre/Retail Security.
This has enabled me to drive standards and the operational delivery of key services to national & international clients, whilst understanding day-to-day operational constraints from entry level through to management.

What do you do outside of work?
Like most people, family is important. I like to spend valuable time with my wife and family.
For my sins and continued disappointment, I am a lifetime follower of Newcastle United Football Club; however my main interest is motor sport – I am a lifetime supporter of Formula One (Michael Schumacher) & Moto GP (The Doctor).
