Team of the Year 2017 Nominations
The success of AM Services Group is hugely down to our teams who do the work! Each year we award a trophy to our Team of the Year and this year we have nine of our teams that have been nominated to win for their work in 2017
We are pleased to introduce you to all the nominated teams who come from many sectors and all divisions of the company. We will announce who has won the top prize when the top 3 are selected by our senior management team at their next monthly meeting.
Wythenshawe Shopping Centre
The security team at Wythenshawe Shopping Centre most certainly go above and beyond protecting the centre and keeping it a safe place to shop! Our very own crime fighters have seen great results in assisting Greater Manchester Police with 39 thefts, 8 criminal damage offences, 5 assaults, 8 pedal cycle thefts and 1 burglary which have all resulted in arrests.
David Brown Santasalo
The team have worked hard in providing some additional value-added services for the client and working patterns have been adjusted to deliver enhanced security at this key location. They have demonstrated a great work ethic and ingenuity in ensuring the development and application of the changes necessary to deliver the agreed service improvements.
Specialist Team – Stoke on Trent
Their value and integration into the wider group couldn’t be demonstrated better than the win of a multi-site cleaning contract on the back of some one-off work they had completed which showcased their skill and professionalism. Nothing is too much trouble for the team when meeting the needs of the client across the length and breadth of the country.
Hildreds Shopping Centre
In the summer months the shopping centre footfall increases massively because of the holiday season. All team members take this in their stride and the centre is therefore always maintained to the highest standards. Upon hearing that the team had won the award, Steve Andrews, the Centre Manager, said, “I am proud of our staff’s dedication to the site.”
The Lanes Shopping Centre
The Lanes team are always available, always willing to say yes and always adaptable, they are always happy to support each other with key staff members having gained SIA licences. The support we see from them all during the “One Great day” event is truly inspiring as we require individuals to cycle through the night and we never have a shortage of willing volunteers.
The Prospect Shopping Centre
In 2017 the team won a green apple award which the operations manager and Graham Allen went to London to collect the award. They are all keen to develop and improve their skills and knowledge; all the team are first aid trained and all bar one have CCTV licences. One key member of the Prospect team scored 100% in the REVO Ace Awards.
AM Services Washroom Division
Our Washroom Services team are a close-knit team who continuously support each other to ensure our clients receive the professional & timely service they expect. The Washroom Services team, led by Cathy Leyland, truly encapsulate the ethos of One Team, One Goal & with their continuous commitment to good service ensuring that our clients continue using our services year on year.
Recipharm, Ashton under Lyne
AM Services Group were awarded the security contract in late 2016 for this customer in Ashton, Manchester. The team was in disarray owing to a number of factors but they have all pulled together and shown a strong desire to deliver on the “One Team One Goal” ethos in their performance.
Cargill PLC, Manchester
Working at the Cargill plant in Manchester keeps the AMSG team on site fully employed ensuring it is kept spic and span! Working at height on boom lifts and scissor lifts as well as in confined spaces and utilising high pressure jet washers and specialist foam cleaning processes our highly trained and professional team always go above and beyond to meet and exceed the customer’s requirements. Their dedication to the job and hard work has earned them this well deserved nomination.
