Gold for The Lanes – Cumbria in Bloom!

Staff at the Lanes Shopping Centre received some fantastic news after attending the annual Cumbria in Bloom awards at the end of September having entered CUMBRIA TOURISM TROPHIES – C.T. ROSE BOWL Self-catering Establishments & Visitor Attractions section, we have been awarded a Gold standard. This accolade is in no small part down to the dedication of the Site Support Supervisor Tiago Leao who has cared for the flower hanging basket across the centre from mid-May this year. The testament to this is that 50 of the original 52 baskets are still on show and in bloom which is no small feat considering the Cumbrian weather!

Particular thanks should also go to Tiago’s support Bev Dickman who has made the raised flower beds on the outside of the centre her own private gardens.
