AM support local Memorial Sponsored Walk
AM Services Group are proud to sponsor a 7 mile Memorial Sponsored Walk along Morecambe promenade for “RP fighting Blindness” in memory of Jim Wilson, a retired local businessman who recently passed away.
RP, short for Retinitis Pigmentosa, attacks the retina and people who have the disease go blind at various stages in life, some early after diagnosis and some later in life. Jim was born with RP which gradually became worse throughout his life, notably when he retired from his work as a local estate agent; he had been totally blind for the last year. The charity is making inroads and have changed their philosophy from ‘if’ they find a cure to ‘when’!
The walk will be 7 miles starting at the Strawberry Gardens at Heysham and ending at The Royal in Bolton Le Sands, with all monies raised going towards helping other sufferers. The walk takes place on Saturday 13th May 2017 starting at 11.00am.Iif anyone would like to join us for the walk, or part pf the walk, we leave at 11.00am.
