Team Development at AM Support Services – Leadership and Management for Dan West
AM Support Services encourage all our employees to further their development and actively support team members to participate in any education which will enhance or further careers while working at AM. We have a great story about our very own Dan West who has recently graduated with flying colours and landed himself a fantastic promotion as a result of his ambition and hard work.
Dan comented: “AM Operations Director, Greg O’Brien originally contacted me in regards to the course two years ago to look at further developing me within the company. I was working as a team leader at Lucite International for AM Support. The course was a ILM (Institute of leadership and management) level five in leadership and management and ran alongside a level 5 NVQ. The course was separated up into modules which had their own designated study hours and followed on with 2500+ word essay.
The NVQ side was completed at Lucite International with an external evaluator would visit once a month and complete written statements, professional discussions and provide evidence of the work that I did on a daily basis matched the curriculum.
On Successfully completed the work I was offered promotion to Contracts Manager and I am now looking at studying for level 7 (equivalent to a masters degree).”
