Adrian Cresswell, our managing director recently attended an event at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) where his participation as a member of the post-LEAD GOLD non-executive board initiative was acknowledged with the presentation of a certificate.

Adrian has been an enthusiastic member of the post-LEAD GOLD programme since 2009 and will continue to be one of Lancaster University Management School’s Entrepreneurs in Residence for the foreseeable future.

Entrepreneurs in Residence help shape the university’s leadership for future business owners.

The Entrepreneurs in Residence initiative is a group of 21 owner-managers from around the North West who help LUMS and its Institute for Entrepreneurship to develop programmes that fit the needs of other owner-managers, and to enhance the experience of students through activities and career guidance. Other aspects of the role include:

  • Helping to foster business ideas and contribute to classroom activities.
  • Acting as Ambassadors to help promote the Department’s business support activity.
  • Supporting the Department of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation with the recruitment of undergraduate.

Adrian commented: “I’m delighted and feel privileged to be an Entrepreneur in Residence for one of the top 10 management schools in the world. As an organsiation I think AM Support Services has benefited enormously from the LEAD programme and the post-LEAD GOLD initiative. It has helped us make important strategic decisions about the business and make long term plans. I’d recommend LUMS to anyone who runs their own business.”
