A glittering night of fund-raising and entertainment in Morecambe

The Directors, Management Team and Contract Managers of AM Support spent a fantastic evening with 200 guests at the Eric Morecambe Tribute Dinner at the Globe Arena in Morecambe Football Club.

The dinner was held to raise funds for a new Morecambe and Wise attraction in the town, which aims to raise £70,000 for a giant piece of wall art on Morecambe seafront depicting the comedy duo. The new attraction will be housed in what will be known as the ‘Sunshine Garden of Fame’ opposite the Winter Gardens in Morecambe. The goal is to open the Sunshine Garden of Fame in 2016 to coincide with the 75th anniversary of Eric & Ernie’s first performance together.

Adrian Cresswell commented: “It was terrific to have a night out with the team, we’re all so busy with work it was a pleasure to spend some time together just enjoying each others’ company. And the fact that it was part of such an amazing fund-raising event for Morecambe was a massive bonus.”

Guests at the event included Eric’s son Gary Morecambe and the late comic’s chauffeur, Mike Fountain, who lives in the town. Ex-footballers Malcolm MacDonald and Paddy Crerand were also at the dinner and entertained guests with tales from their careers.
