We meet Leon Taraborelli of our Specialist Cleaning Division
What is your role at AM Services Group? My role within AM Services Group is Assistant Operations Manager for our Specialist Cleaning arm of the business.
What aspect of your new role do you enjoy the most? The role most enjoyable to me is the day to day interaction and running of the business’s operations, especially within the Specialist Cleaning branch of the company where I dedicate a lot of my time to learning and developing new skills. We currently have an excellent team in Stoke; as we look to expand our road crew it is a real testament to the hard work they put in on a daily basis and it is great to be able to work alongside such a hard working team. The freedom I have been given within AM Services Group has been very refreshing and my new role should now help me progress personally and professionally throughout my career, developing into a great working relationship internally within AM and with our many clients.
What motivates and drives you professionally? From a professional perspective enjoyment and achievement; if you can enjoy the job in hand motivation will be ever-present. I am extremely fortunate to be enjoying my new role and the day-to-day challenges that come with the job.
What are your long-term motivations in a company or a position? I hope that as I develop as a working professional my ability to become an important asset to AM Services Group will be realised. While based at our Stoke depot I have built a close working relationship with Chris Condliff our Operations Director. Working alongside such a knowledgeable professional in the industry provides invaluable experience. The long-term goals would be involvement in the growth and expansion of the Specialist Cleaning division and to use the high standards we work to as constant motivation going forward. We have many exciting prospects on the horizon and we are currently working on new approaches operationally that will drive forward a new future for AM Services Group.
What are you passionate about when you are away from the work arena? Friends and family are a very important part of my life. I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by a loving family and some fantastic friends.
I am a very keen angler and in my spare time I enjoy nothing more than relaxing next to a lake or the sea with a fishing rod. I find it an excellent way to wind down and recharge the batteries. Away from the quiet side I also enjoy socialising with my friends and following Wrexham FC; this can be a challenge within its self as the club is currently experiencing hard times both on and off the field!
What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years? In the past 5 years I have learnt to take every opportunity presented with open arms.
